The Audio Options:
- Sample Size & Frequency: These two settings control two aspects of the quality of audio capture. Higher settings give better quality audio but increase the size of the resulting file.
The lowest settings for both are usually adequate for recording speech.

- Sample Size: affects the sensitivity of the recording.
- Frequency: affects the range of frequencies that can be reproduced. Use a high setting, for example, if very high sounds will be a part of your recording.
- Stereo & Mono: If your sound card has two microphone inputs, you can choose to record in stereo.
